Harmonized Records to release Roots Of Creation Live Volume 2 October 26th
Reggae-Rock-Dubtronica band, Roots of Creation, from Southern New Hampshire is eager and energetic as they begin the fall season, performing around the region at numerous clubs and venues in support of their most recent release "Live Vol. #2" due out October 26th 2010 on Harmonized Records. This date also marks the beginning of Roots of Creation's ROCtoberfest tour.
The selections compiling this widely anticipated album were chosen from the band's best performances of 2009 and 2010, including songs recorded during their very popular sets at Wormtown and Nateva Music Festivals, The Paradise Rock Club in Boston and more. Live Vol #2, the band's fourth album, features the hit single 'Policy' and stylistic covers of classics by the Talking Heads and Tom Petty. Other highlights include the epic instrumentals 'Mammoth' and 'Dubby Conqueror.'
The album was mixed by longtime engineer, Pete Peloquin (Pixies, Dave Mathews, OAR, Govt Mule, Bad Company) and co-mixed by RoC's live sound engineer, Cooper Leafe at studio.metronome in Brookline, NH.
Roots of Creation mixes in tinges of other styles of music, from electronica and dance, to roots and dub reggae to guitar-heavy rock, which are wrapped around lead singer/guitarist Brett Wilson's introspective and consciousness laden lyrics. The band is raising the bar at every show with the intent of delivering a true rock show cleverly disguised as a reggae dance bash.
Most recently Roots of Creation shared the bills with The Dead, Nas and Damien Marley, Umphrey's Mcgee, and Passion Pit while performing at many music festivals this summer including Strangecreek (MA), Nateva (ME), Wakarusa (AR), Big Up (NY), The Get Down (NC), and Desiderata (NY) among others. RoC also performed high-profile support slots for Collie Buddz, Lupe Fiasco, Assembly of Dust and Girl Talk.

Their live albums attempt to capture what is so intoxicating and unique about an RoC performance. One writer from New Indie CDs wrote, "This band has perfected a Jam-Reggae sound…rhythmic jams dusted with an electronica flavor and boosted by funk-rock riffs. When just four guys can go to this many funky and interesting places, you want to go with them. This is definitely a band to catch- as the title suggests- live."
