Perpetual Groove announces Amberland Festival 2010

A long-standing tradition, Perpetual Groove’s intimate music and arts festival, Amberland, returns to Cherokee Farms in La Fayette, Georgia on Memorial Day weekend, May 28 - 30, 2010. The camping-infused festival serves as part backyard barbecue and part interactive showcase that celebrates Perpetual Groove and the community that has grown around the Athens, Georgia based band. The three-day gathering that has been dubbed “a giant ice cream social” by attendees will include six separate sets by the band as well as a performance by P-Groove side project, Lazy B & the Recliners, and Brockfest, a solo set featuring charismatic frontman Brock Butler. Additional details about the event will be announced in the coming weeks.

Following the 2010 release of their fourth studio album, Heal, Perpetual Groove’s eight annual Amberland will once again be broken into three distinct nights, each with its own concept, in which fans are encouraged to participate. Festival goers arriving on Friday, May 28th will be treated to a first-time-ever live performance of the band's original album, Perpetual Groove, in its entirety. Subsequent nights include ABC – an “anything but clothes” theme, where fans are encouraged to fashion outfits out of unconventional materials and a “Jersey Shore” costume party, playing to the popular MTV reality series. New for this year! We'll be hosting a chili cook off on Saturday afternoon, as well as the first annual Uncledaddy's Cornhole Toss Off Tourney. Ambernet will also be back this year - anyone with a wi-fi enabled laptop will have the opportunity to download over 300 live Perpetual Groove concerts for free.

Early bird tickets go on sale Friday, February 5th at 10 a.m. for a limited time only and begin at $65. Early bird tickets will be available in limited quantities, before general admission tickets are offered starting at $85.
Tickets can be purchased at the gate for $100. Day passes are available for Sunday only for $50. All tickets include camping and RV with the price of admission. Tickets are available online at www.PGroove.com.

Amberland is a no re-entry event, so please come prepared for the weekend.
There will not be ATMs or credit card machines on site this year, so please come with plenty of cash for vending and basic supplies that will be made available at the general store. No taping will be allowed on Friday night, but tapers are welcome to record the rest of the event. Jeff Wood of Drowning Creek Studios will once again be producing another beautiful limited edition print to commemorate the event and for those that purchase the print, you will have the opportunity to have it signed by the band. For more information, please stay up to date with the band here on pgroove.com, through Twitter, and on Facebook. You can also join Talking In Place, the band's official online community message forum. Membership will allow you to see and participate within the Amberland forum, which is a great place to meet new people and find out more information about the event as a whole! We cannot wait to see all of fans, friends, and family on this year's Memorial Day Weekend Celebration!
